Two minutes in your account settles three questions that people otherwise spend weeks guessing at - and catches a conversion before it costs you a year.

Your Amazon Prime membership settings show the plan you are on, the rate you are being charged and your renewal date. The quickest tell: $7.49 monthly or $69 annually is the discounted membership. $14.99 or $139 is regular Prime, which means a conversion has already happened.

What to look for, and what it means

Row three is the one to act on. A conversion is not a mistake on Amazon's part — it is what Amazon says it does when it believes you are no longer eligible — but if it is wrong about you, re-verifying is the fix.
Where verification status shows
If you are mid-verification, the status appears in the signup flow rather than in the membership settings. "In progress" is the state people find most alarming and it is usually just a queue. When verification stalls.
A verification that has cleared does not leave a permanent badge anywhere obvious. The practical confirmation is the rate you are being charged, which is why the table above is the check we recommend.

If you are not on the rate you expected
