Set a monthly reminder if you care about it. Benefits that require a deliberate action get used by a small fraction of the people entitled to them, which is exactly what makes them cheap to offer — the same dynamic as the 5% cash back nobody spends.

Then be honest about the arithmetic before you sign up. This membership gives you one featured book a month, the Amazon Music catalog with podcasts, and no audiobook subscription — Audible is separate and priced separately. If unlimited reading is what you want, price Kindle Unlimited on its own and treat it as its own decision.

If delivery, video and cash back already made the case, the monthly book is a pleasant extra you should remember to claim. That is the honest framing, and it is the one Amazon's own page supports.
